I have filmed in Pomfret, in the quiet northeast corner of the state, and it is some of my favorite New England work. Old stone walls, big trees, and a wedding that felt like it belonged to the property.
Connecticut weddings often run on family land or at estates that have been hosting for a century. That history shows up in the film if you let the day breathe instead of directing it.
From the shoreline to the Litchfield Hills, I fly in a day early to scout light and meet the venue before anything starts.
