Joshua Tree, CA / Elopement Videography
Joshua Tree Elopement Videographer
Joshua Tree is a filmmaker's park. The rock formations catch and throw light in a way I've never seen anywhere else, and the whole park goes purple for about 20 minutes after sunset. Elopements here almost film themselves.
The couples booking me for Joshua Tree tend to be design-driven — a small ceremony inside the park at Cap Rock or Hidden Valley, a dinner at Tumbleweed Sanctuary or The Ruin, and a late-night portrait session under the desert sky. That's the arc, and it makes for a film that feels more like a short movie than a wedding video.
The park does require a Special Use Permit for ceremonies and limits group sizes at each location. I've planned around this enough times to make it easy.

Signature
Super 8, real film.
Super 8 in the desert is unreal. For Joshua Tree I usually shoot a roll at sunset and cut it into the film as the last chapter.
